Boulders Beach
Located on the Cape Town Peninsula in Simon's Town this uniquely beautiful beach is home to a protected colony of African Penguins. Definitely worth a visit if not to spend an idyllic day on the beach then to visit the penguins!
Cape Point
At the tip of the Cape Peninsula 60 km south-west of Cape Town, lies Cape Point, a nature reserve within the Table Mountain National Park; a declared Natural World Heritage Site.
Encompassing 7 750 hectares of rich and varied flora and fauna; abounding with buck, baboons and Cape Mountain Zebra as well as over 250 species of birds, Cape Point is a nature enthusiast paradise.
Cape Town Stadium
An architectual achievement for Cape Town indeed. This stadium is often host to iconic superstar bands and performers like U2, Coldplay, Metallica, Paul Simon and Robbie Williams to name but a few.
The stadium doubles as the perfect venue for sporting events since it was purpose built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
District Six
Experience some of South Africa's history and culture and pay a visit to the vibrant District Six situated in the inner city.
The District Six museum houses artifacts, documents and information pertaining to the area and its history including a timeline of events leading up to the forced removal of its more than 60 000 inhabitants during South Africa's apartheid era.
Grand Parade
A beautiful example of some of the splendid architecture which is evident in so many of the buildings in Cape Town is perhaps the Cape Town City Hall and The Castle, which stands gaurd over the Grand Parade in Cape Town.
The Grand Parade is used traditionally as a market place where tourists will find it extremely hard to resist purchasing from the locals.
Groot Constantia
Groot Constantia is the oldest wine estate in South Africa and provincial heritage site in the suburb of Constantia in Cape Town.
IZIKO South African Museum
The South African Museum, established in 1825 by Lord Charles Somerset, is the oldest and largest museum on the sub-continent. A landmark in the historic Company Gardens, the Museum is housed in an elegant late-Victorian building which was opened in the 1880's and has been enlarged with modern extensions.
IZIKO Museums forms an integral part of South Africa's heritage and is indeed worth a very informative visit.
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens
Located at the foot of Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden is world famous for its prolific cultivation of indigenous flora.
Enjoy layed-back Summer concerts or simply stroll through these spectacular gardens. Truly one of Cape Town's most beautiful attractions.
Lion's Head
The suburbs of Cape Town city surround Lion's Head which offers the most incredible panoramic views of the city. This is a photographers dream come true on a blue sky day.
Rhode's Memorial
This vantage point not only allows a panoramic view of the Cape Flats to the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland Mountain ranges but is one of the few vantage points where both the Atlantic and Indian oceans can be seen.
Situated on the Northern slope of Table Mountain and nestled behind the famous Rhodes Memorial, lies a unique destination restaurant and tea garden.
Robben Island
For a look into the South Africa's past and that of one of the world's greatest leaders, Nelson Mandela, take a day trip by ferry to Robben Island.
Seal Island
Take a day trip from Hout Bay Harbour out to Seal Island to see one of the largest colonies of Cape Fur Seals. Views are breathtaking.
Signal Hill
A prolific landmark in Cape Town with its flat top, Signal Hill is located right next to Lion's Head and Table Mountain. The noon gun operated by the Navy is fired daily from Signal Hill and signifies 12 o'clock midday.

Table Mountain has officially been named one of the 7 wonders of the world!

The Two Oceans Aquarium is situated in the V & A Waterfront and offers a fantasy of aquatic worlds which is unsurpassed in South Africa. This is a must when visiting the Cape.
V&A Waterfront
The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in the historic heart of Cape Town's working harbour is South Africa's most-visited destination, having the highest rate of foreign tourists of any attraction in the country.

If you want some sand, sea and sun it's waiting for you a 10 minute drive away to Lagoon Beach. Then on the Atlantic coast you'll find you're spoilt for choice, also a 10 minute drive Shimmy Beach Club, or alternatively after a 20 minute drive you can land on the superb white stretch of Muizenberg Beach on the other side of the Cape Peninsula ideal for swimming.
